Are Braces Expensive? How Much Do Braces Cost?
You might be surprised to know that the cost of braces isn’t out of this world, even if you choose something like Invisalign® or Lingual Braces.
The total cost of your braces is going to depend on the specific needs of your smile and any additional appliances that may be needed. Based on your extent of treatment, braces generally cost a few thousand dollars from start to finish. Fortunately, your treatment may be covered by dental insurance. Patel & Womble Orthodontics offers interest-free payment plans to help make your treatment more affordable.
What Is Included in the Cost Of Braces?
When you pay for braces, the cost of your treatment includes delivery/application of any types of appliances, follow-up visits, and a retainer to keep your teeth straight after your treatment is over. If you happen to damage your braces, retainer, or other appliance during treatment, there may be other costs incurred to have them replaced.
Imaging, such as digital X-rays, 3D scanning with our cone beam machine, and digital iTero® Element™ impressions are all included as part of your treatment.
Does Insurance Cover the Cost of Braces?
When you schedule your first consultation at Patel & Womble Orthodontics, we’ll get your dental insurance information from you and call your insurance company to pre-verify your benefits and allowances. This gives you a better idea of any leftover out-of-pocket expenses that may be related to the type of braces that you choose. Some types of plans cover more than others.
If you have a Flexible Spending Account, you may be able to use your FSA plan to cover the cost of your braces! Check with your employer to maximize your FSA benefits each year so that you don’t lose any of your benefits.
How Much Are Braces Without Insurance?
The cost of your braces will depend on the type of braces that you are considering and how long your treatment will take. Most of the time, paying for braces is much easier than most people think. Advancements in care are making orthodontic treatments more affordable every day. The price will always vary from patient to patient. To get an accurate estimate, schedule a consultation with our Atlanta orthodontists.
Can I Get Financing?
Fortunately, regardless of whether or not you have insurance coverage, you can also finance the cost of braces. Our Atlanta braces can easily be worked into your monthly budget. We offer both CareCredit® and OrthoFi payment plans so that you can access:
- Low monthly payments
- 0% and low-interest financing
- Fast, same-day approval
- Instant access to coverage
Will My Flexible Spending Account Cover My Braces?
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) usually cover most orthodontic-related treatments. Using an FSA can help you save money on your braces at the end of each year by setting aside money into a private medical account without it being subjected to taxes.
